About AlphaStack

The Crucial Gap That Won't Close on Its Own

For every AI tutor, smart toy, AI companion, and AI-powered platform reaching children today, there are some privacy guidelines explaining what data is collected. There is no equivalent guardrails for how AI impacts a child's development or well-being needs—the foundations of being human.

Nearly 40 million Generation Alpha (“Gen Alpha”) children in the U.S. are growing up alongside AI. They are the first AI-native generation. The adults shaping their experience including parents, educators, school leaders, and EdTech innovators deserve more than a privacy checkbox.

AlphaStack exists to help close that gap.

What We Are Building

AlphaStack is a platform that helps trusted adults vet AI through a developmental and well-being lens. Our work is built around two proprietary frameworks:

The AI Readiness Profile

A framework designed for schools and homes to assess readiness for AI adoption. The AI Readiness Profile helps educators and school leaders examine People & Culture, Data, Process & Roles, and In-House Technical Capability considerations prior to the adoption.

The Four Capacities of AI

A framework for evaluating how AI may influence a child across four foundational capacities–Regulation, Inner Listening, Identity, and Relational Intelligence. These capacities form the foundation of Gen Alpha’s humanity and provide a lens for vetting the right AI beyond privacy, safety, and functionality.

Who We Serve

AlphaStack is designed for:

Parents and caregivers

Educators and school leaders

School districts

Researchers

EdTech founders and product teams

Organizations building AI experiences for children

Who's Behind AlphaStack

AlphaStack was created by Dr. Yi Zhang, CEO of The Learning Brand LLC, a principal learning strategist, TEDx speaker, former educator, and advisor on AI and technology adoption.

Dr. Zhang holds an Ed.D. from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College and two master's degrees in education from Indiana University Bloomington. Over the past decade, she has partnered with organizations including Microsoft, and her programs have reached more than 120,000 people across industries and regions to build the skills needed to navigate change.

She is also the mother of an 8-year-old son and a former high school teacher.

What We Believe

Gen Alpha aren’t metrics or markets but developing humans.

Privacy alone isn’t sufficient. Children's development and well-being in the age of AI deserve as much attention as data protection.

Adult judgment matters. Parents, caregivers, educators, and school leaders shape how Gen Alpha experiences AI.

Every parent, caregiver, educator, and community deserves a voice in the future of AI, not just technology companies and policymakers.

The AI Divide is real. Access to AI literacy, AI fluency, and beneficial AI experiences should never be determined by income, resources, or ZIP code.

Clear frameworks help people move beyond AI hype and AI avoidance toward thoughtful action and tangible outcomes.

What's Next

AlphaStack is currently in development. We are working with parents, educators, school leaders, and forward-thinking organizations to refine our platform before broader release. If you would like early access or are interested in evaluating AI through an adoption readiness, developmental, and well-being lens, we would love to hear from you.
